Throughout the month of May, Liquid Packaging Solutions is offering special pricing on tightening wheels for the spindle capping machine. This sale will include all standard durometers, or colors, of spindle wheels to the end of the month. For anyone with an automatic or semi-automatic spindle capping machine, now is the time to stock up on these wear parts.
Spindle wheels are used to tighten down screw-on type closures on capping machines by contacting and threading the cap to the bottle as each bottle passes through the machine on the power conveyor. Screw-on type caps may include simple flat caps found on most water bottles or even sports caps, trigger sprayers, pump closures and more. Semi-automatic spindle cappers work in the same manner, though the conveyor is replaced by an operator sliding the bottle and cap into position between the spindle wheels. In both cases, the wheel contact with the cap will cause spindle disks to wear over time, making replacement a necessity for efficient and reliable capping. LPS encourages packagers to keep extra spindle wheels on hand to ensure continuous production when replacement does become necessary, as the wheels take only minutes to replace.
In addition to the spindle wheels, LPS will also offer discounts on in-stock replacement or spare parts for a variety of different packaging machines.
